Kirby McDonald

A Certified Wealth Strategist and Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Kirby Spencer McDonald started his career in 1982 as an agent with Foresters Financial in Omaha, Nebraska. He worked for the agency for 17 years, during which time he held a variety of roles, including as a life insurance agent and an investment advisor. He was also one of its youngest-ever branch managers. Kirby McDonald was Foresters' top-performing agent/advisor in 1998 before launching his business the following year.

Kirby Spencer McDonald began performing financial planning services for clients through Illuminate Finance in September 1999 and incorporated the business in 2002. He continues to serve as a compliance officer of the Omaha, Nebraska-based agency and is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training financial advisors.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. McDonald serves on the board of Mission Hills Homeowner Association. In the past, he served on the boards of multiple nonprofits, including the Florence B. Hallum Child Abuse Prevention Fund, Impact One, and Abide Network. His hobbies include running, playing golf, and coaching his grandsons' baseball and football teams.
